Over 1300 guests celebrated Arbor Day last Saturday at Children’s Fairyland. Before the park opened, 100 volunteer members of the Western Chapter of the International Society of Arborists climbed and trimmed the park’s 100+ large trees, ensuring their long term health and safety. After the park was opened, guests were treated to climbing and milling demonstrations, a chance to build a birdhouse or bee hotel, and a performance by Tree Circus. The event was sponsored by PG&E, and focused on the importance of trees in our urban ecosystem. Brooke Levin, photo, Fairyland Executive Director C.J.
