Dream Police are playing at Brick and Mortar this Saturday and Leo’s Music Club this Sunday and we have three pairs of tickets to give away to their Leo’s show.

Between an album a year and a few EPs over the last five years, it’s hard to imagine much free time for any members of NY’s country-infused punk rock band, The Men, to work on side projects. But that’s what Mark Perro and Nick Chiericozzi have done with their band, Dream Police.

As Dream police, Perro and Chiericozzi have released a few tapes and played a couple live shows since 2010.  This November they released an eight song album titled Hypnotized. The album is a diverse mix of guitar heavy tunes that include the use of a drum machine and synthesizer, and range from psych-folk to blues, new wave, and post-punk—basically a variety of musical interests and ideas that didn’t quite fit within the styling of The Men, but which became a solid, albeit eclectic, collection of songs under Dream Police.
