It’s that time of year. The time of year when the singles drop with ferocity in preperation for the release of albums that you’ll be blasting from your stereos and headphones all through summer. Then some of those songs are accompanied by candy for your corneas, too. Here are a few beats to consider for your next playlist.

Stereogum recently premiered the latest song by Astronauts, Etc. While there’s no set release date for a new album, it’s surely coming and if this track is any indication, it will be glorious.

Toro y Moi music is always good for a mood lifting, so it’s nice that we don’t have long to wait for the new album, “What For?,” which will be released on April 7. Until then we’ve been treated to the latest single, “Run Baby Run.”

In prep for a debut album release on the May 15, Hard Left have been dropping some singles from their upcoming album, “We Are Hard Left.” “Red Flag” was inspired in part by the Occupy Oakland movement.

Oakland-raised Kehlani has been busy preparing for the release of her album “You Should Be Here.” The first track released “How’s That Taste” talks to all the haters out there.

Lila Rose’s new album “WE.ANIMALS” is out on April 14.  Her music always packs a punch, and so does her video for “World on Fire.”

Lastly, Goapele has a new video out for “Strong as Glass” from the 2014 album of the same name. It’s gorgeous and mesmerizing, just like Goapele.
