After a successful debut last fall, the Vintage Clothing & Style Festival is back for two days of vintage clothing, music, cocktails and more this weekend, Aug. 14 and 15 at the Alameda Elks Lodge.

The festival’s producers, Kimberly Manning Aker and Jula and Roberto Isola, have been hard at work putting together festivities that not only celebrate all that’s great about vintage, but also offers attendees information about how to incorporate vintage into daily life.

The festival begins on Saturday evening with a Great Gatsby theme highlighting roaming models in '20s attire (all for sale), live music and "Getting Ready for Gatsby" - a presentation by the Art Deco Society providing tips on how to prepare for the annual Gatsby Summer Afternoon coming up in September. Continuing on Sunday, the theme is vintage travel destinations and includes vignettes with vintage luggage and jet-set models donning travel suits.

Available both days is shopping with 45 vendors, two no-host bars, food for sale, music, dancing, demonstrations and plenty of opportunity to visit with like-minded people. Whether you’re new to vintage or an old pro, the festival is not to be missed.

The event runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Alameda Elks Lodge, 2255 Santa Clara Ave., Alameda. Tickets on Saturday are $15 for Art Deco Society members; $25 general admission includes early sales and re-entrance to the festival on Sunday. Sunday only tickets are $7.
