Watch the action at today's live grafitti battle in West Oakland

The Oakland Local crew is jazzed about the Third Annual Estria Invitational Graffitti Battle happening this weekend (like today, in  fact).  The Estria Invitational Graffiti Battle at the Life Is Living Festival is a watch it as it happens face-off between sets of graffiti artists, painting live.  The big event is today, Saturday October 10, 2009, from 11am-5pm at  deFremery Park (Little Bobby Hutton) in West Oakland, Exact address: 1651 Adeline Street, Oakland, CA 94607

Estria says, "This year, for the first time, winners from the Harlem, Honolulu and Chicago Battles will be flown to Oakland to compete in the finals." The promo materials say that there are four confirmed judges for the Oaktown event:

   1. Spie FC, San Francisco
   2. East DF, Kansas City
   3. Omen MPC, San Francisco
   4. Estria, Hawai'i

And that the following artists will take partL
   1. Bounce TYS, 2008 and 2007 defending champion, Berkeley
   2. Doves FC, 1st place Harlem
   3. Vogue, 3rd place Harlem
   4. Ckaweeks, 1st place Honolulu
   5. Prime, 2nd place Honolulu
   6. Ozwego, 3rd place Honolulu
   7. Jash, 1st place Chicago
   8. Dime, Visual Element
