Headbanger Accessories has received so much support from Oakland that they decided to give back to their hometown, through a prom sponsorship of Keren Osmond, a Skyline senior.

When asked why they ( Headbanger Accessories) wanted to give back to Oakland, they ( Headbanger Accessories) responded with, "We decided to give back to Oakland because Oakland is our home, our community and Oakland has given so much to us, We were raised here, grew up here and we are who we are as a company due to the support and love of our community."

Headbanger Accessories gave back to Oakland in a unique way of sponsoring Keren Osmond, a senior at Skyline high school. Hard -working Skyline senior Keren Osmond who is active in her community wondered how she would be able to afford prom because it wasn't very financially feasible for her. Keren Osmond spoke with her principal, weeks later she was informed about the Headbangers wanting to sponsor a senior for prom. Perfect Timing.

"I was relieved with joy but still had to call the number Ms. Hendrickson gave me which was Tiffany Stapleton of Headbanger Accessories. She [Tiffany Stapleton]was so nice and during the whole conversation I could hear the love in her voice for wanting to do a good deed....the next few weeks we met up. I had a blast, I mean it was like being spoiled. J Richell sketched a dress for me that I described and had a picture of. "

J.Richell, a local designer was so ecstatic to collarborate with Headbanger Accessories in desigining a dress for Keren Osmond. "They [ Headbanger Accessories] decided to use my services to help in they're well doing. I was able to give them a great price. I also gave our prom princess, as we call her, Keren Osmond, a 3 shirt set of my Rich Girl tees. She is the meaning of what Rich stands for. She is a great student, she volunteers and is just a great kid. I was happy that the HB ladies picked me to make this dream come true," said J.Richell. Keren Osmond's night was full of other goodies that made her night complete as well.

"Prom night comes and still seems as if it's all a dream because I wasn't stressed like most of my friends on the little things like hair and make-up. I was so relaxed and full of joy to know that this blessing was happening." Keren was in awe because of all the special treatment she received from the customized dress, headbanger earrings, heels, hair and make-up as well as a dinner on the water at Kincaid's on Jack London Square. " I realized at that moment, I was a girl that was very blessed and that the Headbangers were a blessing in my life. I never went to my junior prom. " Not attending her junior prom served as a blessing in disguise because she had a night that she will remember forever her senior year.

Kerend Osmond will be attending the University of the Virgin Islands Saint Thomas. Keren says she will share her specila night of prom story with everyone when she is away at college fall 2010.
