As of 3:40 pm, the Bay Area is poised to hear the verdict in the trial of former BART police officer Johannes Mescherle, which is expected to be announced 4:00 pm PT.

Today, the jury in Los Angeles began deliberations at 8:45 am. They broke at 11:45 am for lunch, and resumed at 1:10 pm. At 1:20 pm there was a question from the jurors regarding "firearm enhancement" (use of a firearm in the commission of a crime). A verdict was reached at 2:10 pm.
