It looks like only 105 heads may roll as a result of the loss of redevelopment agency funds for the city of Oakland, but funding for Children’s Fairyland and the Oakland Zoo hit the chopping block as part of the new plan.

The most exciting part? A reorg!

The City is going to streamline operations, creating a new Office of Economic Development, an Office of Planning & Neighborhood Preservation, an Office of Housing & Community, Development, and an Office of Neighborhood Investment that will focus on implementing qualifying projects outlined in the Enforceable Obligation Payment Schedule (EOPS).

The City  Administrator’s Officewill take over responsibilities of the former RDA, including  "traditional leadership areas needed to manage a large enterprise of our size: budget/fiscal management; operations; and labor/employee relations."
