This Friday, Sept. 10, Oakland's Joyce Gordon Gallery will celebrate its anniversary with a gala and auction from from 7 to 10 p.m. at 406 14th St.

The celebration will be the first installment of the Seven in September - a series of events that recognize the seven years of art the gallery has contributed to Oakland's creative culture, including being named the "Soul of Oakland" by the Oakland Indie Awards this past May.

The evening will have a live painting demonstration by Malik Senefro, a photo shoot by Renegade PR and eclectic sounds by Dj Styles. You can be a part of this experience for free! 

You also can purchase a donor ticket at the event for $75, which includes a live band, culinary delights and a hosted bar.

Bring your special partner, colleague, family member and/or art lover and celebrate Oakland art at its best.
