Bay Localize and the Local Clean Energy Alliance have entered a proposal for $5000 to put on the “Clean Power, Healthy Communities” conference in February 2010.
Here's more, from our community correspondent:
"We can power the San Francisco Bay Area by solarizing our rooftops, building up regional wind farms, and harnessing wave and tidal power — all while cutting global warming pollution and creating quality green jobs in our communities. On February 10-11, 2010 Bay Localize and the Local Clean Energy Alliance, will bring together clean power advocates, elected officials, renewable energy companies, climate action coordinators, job trainers, and organized labor to share success stories, coordinate efforts, and build a regional strategy for slashing carbon emissions and boosting green jobs through local clean energy development."
But they need that funding to make this happen--so they're asking for local residents to support them with a vote by November 15 to help them win. Click here to vote now.
