As many as 100,000 came into downtown Oakland this weekend for the second annual Oakland Pride festival, which had a new emphasis on family and youth. And of course--many of those visitors were Oakland's own--Oakland has the third highest rate of same-sex couples after San Francisco and Seattle, according to an analysis of 2010 census data by UCLA's Williams Institute for Sexual Orientation Law and is said to have the highest concentration of female couples.
