The Summer Sounds concert series kicked off today with a tribute to Michael Jackson. Seone Stylist which is a band consisting of six members took special requests from the crowd. Some of the songs played were “ You Are Not Alone”, I Wanna Rock With You”, and the timeless classic that is “Billie Jean” just to name a few.

The City Center was filled with people enjoying their lunch breaks, while the band cranked out Jackson’s hit songs. Seone Stylist added their own unique sound to the music, and engaged the crowd. During “Billie Jean” they even got people to do the moonwalk which was truly a sight to see.

Jackson died last year after an alleged drug overdose, he was a global sensation whose music touched the lives of fans of all ages. Though his life and career was filled with controversy and scandal, Jackson continued to make the music that made him a legend. From his humble beginnings as the lead singer of The Jackson Five, to his chart topping albums he left his mark on the music industry and earned his crown as “The King of Pop”.

If today’s concert and weather was any indication of the season to come, then Summer Sounds will be huge attraction all the way through August. For the full schedule included the dates and performers go to, www.oaklandcitycenter.com/happenings.cfm
