On Dec. 1, the 27Y and 27X Neighborhood Crime Prevention Councils (NCPC) joined efforts at a Planning Commission meeting to stop La Raza Market, 5001 Bancroft Ave., from selling alcohol.
Though the business operators did not appeal the decision, the property owners did.
The public hearing on this issue will be held in the City Council meeting at City Hall on Tuesday, March 2, at 7 pm.
The Report can be found here under Item 14.3
The store operator did not appeal the decision, so alcohol sales are not permitted at La Raza Market. Continued alcohol sales will result in legal action by the City of Oakland.
The city asks the public to report alcohol sales to Richard Fuentes at 238-6126 or rfuentes@oaklandnet.com.
