It seems hard to believe it's Monday again that that it's now March. Soon, we're heading for spring--the signs are out already, with flowers bloming despite the heavy rains. It's also Women's History Month, and Ryan Van Lenning has a good list of ways to celebrate.

If you are planning to participate in Thursday's Day of Action to Defend Public Education. Irene Florez has a round-up of events--The call to action says "We call on all students, workers, teachers, parents, and their organizations and communities across the country to massively mobilize for a Strike and Day of Action in Defense of Public Education on March 4, 2010"--and alot of people are heeding it.

CB Smith-Dahl has a write up of Sugar, the art  show by Eesuu Orindide--it look amazing! My de Vertueil's piece on being both a student and a bartender is a fun read for a Monday, and we're still smiling that a funder of The Oakland School for the Arts wrote an article about how great they are (welcome to social media, folks).

The Chauncey Bailey Project is reporting that the man convicted of killing the then-leader of Your Black Muslim Bakery in 2005 deserves a new trial because jurors weren’t allowed to hear about an internal power struggle at the bakery that might’ve turned brother against brother, according to his attorney.

Did you see Amy's Yellow Pages Waste video? Outrageous!

And don't forget to check the calendar.
