Back Yard Farms: A company helping people create their own food gardens

One of the many reasons why I moved to Oakland from San Francisco - The land!

I wish I had met the co-owner of Back Yard Food Gardens last year, while I was still deciding what to do with my huge backyard. Perhaps it's not too late. I would love to have a self-sustaining home which includes growing my own organic foods.

This company will bring a team to your home and help you create your own mini-farm of sorts. They do a great job making veggies look like gardens, which is great for homes with smaller working landscapes. Browse their gallery to see what they do. A very impressive, young company with a heart of green.
