Unite for Climate Action in Oakland March 30th (Community Voices)

Last year, Oakland set one of the most ambitious climate goals of any city in the United States. Through the work of the Oakland Climate Action Coalition, we demonstrated the most vibrant and diverse community involvement seen in any city developing a climate action plan.

This year, Oakland takes the next big step, and the Oakland Climate Action Coalition is taking action -- will you join us on Tuesday March 30 for a rally to make sure City Council adopts an equitable plan?

Oakland City Council will set a comprehensive Energy and Climate Action Plan detailing how we will meet our climate targets. Our vibrant coalition has a critical set of recommendations for the plan. Our recommendations will cut dangerous emissions, create green-collar jobs, improve public health and save residents money. These ideas must be part of Oakland's plan,

On March 30, the City Council has an important meeting to discuss this plan. We need your support to make sure Oakland not only meets its climate goals, but does so equitably by passing the Coalition's proposals.

Time: 4:30-7:30PM

Place: Oakland City Hall, Frank Ogawa Plaza
