I have some really exciting news for the whole community and want Oakland Local to be first to have it. Hi it's Todd from the Laurel Village Community Farmers Market and WingWalker's Baking Co with some really exciting news and opportunities for Oakland and the whole Bay Area.

OK here is the EXCITING news part:

On June 26th the Oakland Underground Film Festival will be presenting at the 'Pavilion Theater' (former Barnes & Ignoble) a premiere of FRESH the Movie  with director Ana Sofia Joanes in attendance.

In addition, we will be hosting real time, hands on, get dirty workshops featuring Home Brewing, Artisan Baking, Jams, Pickling, Urban Farming, Aquaponics, a truly underground farmers market, Cooking Demos, Tastings, Sustainable Amouse Bouch Contest,  Beer, Wine, Local Spirits, Hot and Slo FastFood, live music and dance, Vegan Cooking Styles by Local Chefs, Gluten-free Cooking and Baking, chocolates, desserts etc.... and to top it all off, we are working on a Farm to Table dinner discussion panel hosted by the Canvas Underground and featuring FRESH Director Ana Sofia Joanes as well as local underground food personalities.
