High School Students to Present Capstone Works on Friday

EXCEL High School's graduating seniors will present their culminating year-long research and public service projects this Friday, May 21.

The presentations will occur in the afternoon at the school's West Oakland campus and are open to both the public and school community.

EXCEL was founded in 2005 and has a student population of about 250; it's current principal, Yetunde Reeves, is a doctoral student in the Mills College Educational Leadership program.

The school's mission is to prepare its students for four year colleges, as well as to inspire them to change their local communities.
