Mix It Up East Bay is a monthly event that brings together young leaders, community activists and organizers in a social setting to network and learn about some key issues from a local leader. Our is to bring people together across a variety of progressive issues, acknowledge the amazing work that the next generation of young leaders is doing in the East Bay, and give folks an opportunity to learn about on-the-ground work and ways to get involved. And of course, network and socialize with some amazing new and old friends! It has been enormously successful - going strong for nearly 3 years, we are now a network of over 900 individuals across the East Bay, and turning out around anywhere from 40-100 people per month. You can learn more from our Facebook page at: http://www.facebook.com/?ref=home#!/group.php?gid=2609191582&v=wall&ref=ts
We always meet on the 2nd Thursday of the month from 6 pm -9 pm at at Shashamane Bar and Grill at 2507 Broadway in downtown Oakland.
