AC Transit seeks advocates for seniors, disabled bus riders

AC Transit is seeking advocates for seniors and disabled bus riders who will work to ensure transit services are accessible to everyone. Applications are being accepted from individuals interested in volunteering on AC Transit's Accessibility Advisory Committee (AAC).

The 14 member Accessibility Advisory Committee typically meets on the second Tuesday of the month to address concerns about AC Transit's accessibility to seniors and people with disabilities.

Preferred applicants should have experience using AC Transit. In order to maintain diversity in representation of people who are seniors, people with varying disabilities and of diverse ethnic backgrounds, two committee membrs will be appointed by each member of AC Transit's Board of Directors.
