"These young men here have no rights that BART feels they have to respect," Oakland Attorney John Burris told press at a media event held on February 5, 2010 in Oakland in the presence of the family of Oscar Grant and the five friends who were with him when he was shot dead on a BART platform last year . Burris says that BART not only violated the civil rights of the five friends, but they have been leaking information to the media that that has undercut his federal civil rights lawsuits against BART and endangered them.
