On June 18, roll on over to join the East Bay Bike Party for a night of self-propelled glamour.

The June ride theme is '80s night, so bring your tightest, brightest spandex, your biggest hair and those Hammer pants we know are hiding in your closet. 

Organizers of East Bay Bike Party were inspired by the wildly popular San Jose Bike Party, which has been going strong for two years and averages 2,000 riders every month. The East Bay version is a new phenomenon for this town, but has already won more than a few hearts with last month's Birthday Party Ride. 

The '80s bike party will begin at 8 p.m. at MacArthur BART station, then reconvene outside the Heart and Dagger Saloon near Grand Lake Theater to set out again at 9 p.m.

If you're joining later, just text "ebbikeparty" to 41411 and you'll receive updates on stops and meeting places. 

The East Bay Bike Party happens the third Friday of every month.
