Brave New Voices Grand Slam Finals Tonight

 Their key to victory might be Natasha Huey of San Francisco, who has won every round she’s performed in. Can Team Bay Area ride her momentum and bring home gold for the region? We’ll have to see. 

Monday the 2010 Brave News Voices International Poetry Slam began in Los Angeles. Tonight the finals of the competition will take place with Team Bay Area competing for the championship. 

The team placed first in the semi-finals, beating out Team Hawaii would finished second. Team Sacramento rounded out the top three, this is the first year competing in the at BNV.

Team Bay Area will have some tough competition tonight as they will be facing Denver, New York, and Albuquerque. For more information, follow Brave New Voices and Youth Speaks, as well as OL.
