Hello ORA allies,  I am writing to invite you to a Gulf of Mexico Empathy Circle, Empathy Team Open House + potluck.
  Saturday, July 17, 2010

3:00pm-6:00pmin Berkeley.

Bay Area Nonviolent Communication's Empathy Team, of which I am a member, is deploying this Gulf of Mexico Empathy Circle to empathize with the
feelings and needs alive in relation to the spill.

Author Floyd Earl Smith will give a brief talk on the spill’s origins and effects, attempts to cap it, and possible outcomes for the Gulf region and beyond. Then we will have an experiential hour of small group self-expression with empathy (in the nonviolent communication  tradition).

This practice will be followed by an optional potluck, featuring a presentation by team members on the team's story,
and discussion of how to support the current team or join one.

Learn more about the team & register for this event by clicking: http://bit.ly/d0cw2J or contacting BayNVC/ phone: (510) 433-0700, email: register@baynvc.org. Exact event location and other details will be sent out to confirmed attendees.
