After a long night at work none would want to come home to gunshots. But that what happened this morning in Oakland.

According to Oakland Tribune, a 53 year old man was shot and killed in front of his home. The shooting occurred in 5700 block of E.15TH at 1:40 a.m., the man was shot at least one shot and CHP heard the shot and were the first to arrived at the scene.

This is Oakland’s 50th homicide of 2010, last year at this time Oakland had 62 homicides. It’s nice to see that 12 less people have been killed this year but the point still remains that these killings go with warrant.

Yesterday morning an 18 year old male was shot in killed outside his home. That shoot occurred at 1:15 a.m. in the 5900 block of Harmon Avenue in East Oakland.

The police as usual have no motives for the separate killing nor do they have any suspects. Which makes me wonder whether having officers on the streets, is even worth it when this a common theme in homicides situations.

Main-stream news reports the homicides, police have no leads or suspects and families have to plan funeral services and mourn the lost of their loved ones.

The senseless killings really need to stop, because not only do they make Oakland look terrible but they destroy families in my opinion.
