What' the film about? Baseball!

According to the movie's website, "Money Ball" is based on the true story of Billy Beane, (played by Brad Pitt), former MLB player and current general manager of the Oakland A's. Apparently, Beane turns baseball upside down as he tries out a new and revolutionary way to judge talent and puts together a team on the cheap that is able to play as good or better than other more expensive teams.
