If you have never tasted “Hotwater Cornbread“, then you’re in luck. There will be plenty served up on August 12th.

The Soul Cypher will take place at The New Parish, and will feature an impressive line-up of poets. They include; Sunni Patterson, Amir Sulaiman, Ryan Nichole, and Poet of The Year Mr. Prentice Powell himself.

Tickets can be purchased in advance for $20, and there will also be after party hosted by DJ Hector. That goes down from 10p.m. to 2a.m., and it’s $5 before 11p.m. so you may want to head over earlier.
