Local videographer and long-time resident Nenna Joiner is working to open a sex-positive, woman-friendly sex shop in downtown Oakland, called Feelmore 510. Oakland Local will be chronicling her journey, since we're interested to see whether it's easier to get support for industrial pot farms that for a equivalent of Babeland or Good Vibrations that would be owned by a local, female, person of color, and that would mean women--and men--could purchase their toys, lube, and so on right here in Oakland. Oh, and did I mention community gathering place for some? Here's Nenna's video on her shop and what she's trying to accomplish (besides launch a good business).
