Oakland, city of dreams.  If you doubted it, take a look at the new song and video from Hayward's Supreme Sketch, which exhibits all the dreamy, magical longing of a Langston Hughes in  NY.  Or a Jack Kerouac on the road. Sketch's video is a sun-dappled ode to the hard streets of Oakland, and to the memory of Oscar Grant and the community empowerment he has come to stand for. Much of the lyrics are about passing on the life of the streets, but it's the photos that tell the feel-good story.

Update: As I was finishing this post up, I saw 38th Notes had also written a post--great minds!
