"This year City Slicker Farms is teaming up with People's Grocery to host our annual Harvest Festival on October 30th. The Harvest Festival is a celebration of food in West Oakland, and those who help to cultivate and distribute it. This year we are also celebrating the completion of our newest Community Market Farm at Fitzgerald and Union Plaza Park (located at
the corner of 34th St. and Peralta St.).
 
In order for this event to be as awesome as possible, we need your help. There are tons of volunteer opportunities for this event. You can man activities or games, you can greet people and answer questions, or you can help set up and break down. The festival goes from 12 - 4 pm but any amount of time that you can give will be appreciated.
