Don't miss crime in your neighborhood

The Oakland Police Department is promoting a very cool online resource, based on GIS maps, to help you stay alert about neighborhood crimes.

CrimeView CyberWatch allows people to sign up for e-mails when a range of crimes take place near a certain address.

Users can input an address or intersection, select from a list of different crimes and specify distance, within a mile, of how close crimes must occur to be reported.
