So I was at Revolution Cafe today for a meeting and who's working hard at an adjacent table but a real face to real name!  The one and only Susan Mernit!  And thanks to Susan, she gave me the nudge I needed to officially start building Circus Bella's cyber presence here on Oakland Local!

So here we are.  Our first Blog entry.  And here you are reading.  So you can learn that Circus Bella is an open air, one ring circus based here in Oakland but resides all over the Bay Area - that features professional level acts set live, original music. 

The company was started in 2008 by Abigail Munn and me, David Hunt, to respond to a shared dream for an accessible, high quality, traditionally staged circus here in the Bay Area.  We are a company of 9 performing artists and a quintet of musicians led by composer and band director, Rob Reich.  Our principal project is our Circus in the Parks performing series, bring great circus performance directly to neighborhood parks and open spaces across the Bay, FREE for its audiences.
