The Northern California Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists is proud to sponsor:

Covering California: Ethnic Media's Edge

As California's minorities become the majority, it's increasingly important for mainstream media to collaborate with the ethnic press. Join us as we meet with leaders of some of the Bay Area's top ethnic newsrooms for an in-depth conversation about the successes, challenges and hot issues in their newsrooms.

San Francisco Bay Area Journalists is pleased to present this meetup in cooperation with New America Media, the first and largest collaboration of ethnic news organizations in the U.S. Our special guests will be:

Host: SF Bay Area Journalist Organizer Tom Murphy, founder of Newswire21.org.
When/Where: 6-8 pm, Tuesday, Jan. 18, San Francisco Chronicle (5th & Mission St.)
Cost: $4 in advance through PayPal on SFBAJ site or $5 at the door.
