Beginning at 11 a.m. Sunday, it’s time to help maintain our food justice community by attending a brunch benefit for SOL (sustaining ourselves locally).
The goal is to raise $3,000 in order to hire East Oakland youth to work as summer gardening and social justice interns. Cost: $25-$40 will get you a plate of locally grown food, a garden tour, a whole lot of good karma and the knowledge that we are properly taking care of our youth. The benefit will be held at 1236 International Blvd.
