May I extend a belated,WELCOME and CONGRATULAIONS! Mayor Quan. [smile].

I have just re-located to Oakland from San Rafael. I've just overcome a major six month setback after volunteering to be homeless and living out of my van-in Marin. I really needed and appreciate all those expereinces I have learned.

Your conscienous choice to contribute 'from the heart' shows; in your action, becoming Mayor for this wonderful city of culture rich peoples.  I would appreciate becoming a team player for Oakland.

My small business is barely up and hanging on, yet we are ready to take responsibility to create value and support our familiy's and children.
