One year ago, BP's Deepwater Horizon
exploded in the Gulf of Mexico, killing 11 workers and beginning over
100 days of the worst oil spill in US history. Despite this clear
warning, we remain deeply dependent on fossil fuels, which poses a dire
threat to our communities and environment.
Thankfully, the movement for climate justice and clean
energy is rising again. This past weekend, over 10,000 youth converged
on Washington, DC for PowerShift, arguably the largest mobilization for
clean energy in this nation's history. Bay Localize was there to help build the movement.
Here in the Bay Area, our friends and allies are hosting
a wide range of community events and gatherings. Please check out the

SF Urban Ag Signing Ceremony
To celebrate SF's new urban ag ordinance, the SF Urban
Ag Alliance is co-hosting a signing ceremony and press conference with

Bay Area Smart Energy Report Launch
"Bay Area Smart Energy 2020" is a detailed roadmap for
