This morning, Oct. 12, between 7:30 and 11 a.m., look out for the AC Transit/Clipper "street team" near the bus stops around 34th Avenue and International Blvd. in Oakland.

The team can be identified by their blue Clipper T-shirts. They'll have trilingual brochures about AC Transit's discontinuation of all local 10-Ride paper tickets and local Adult 31-Day tickets.They'll also be giving out FREE Adult Clipper cards.

So if you see someone on the team and need a Clipper card, just ask!

With AC Transit on the verge of celebrating its 50th anniversary in October, the revered and indispensable bus system could be facing one of the most drastic cutbacks in its history—the reduction of almost half its weekend service by the end of the year.
