City Council President Jane Brunner invites the community to the February advisory meeting, whose topic is, "How can we as Individuals, and as a city, address climate change?” Featuring Garrett Fitzgerald, City of Oakland Sustainability Coordinator, and Emily Kirsch, Oakland Climate Action Coalition, this discussion uses a new meeting format designed to capture participants' ideas and insights in relation to the question posed. Instead of a typical question-and-answer period, the “world café” approach will be used, with participants breaking into small groups and intensively discussing different perspectives on climate change, as well as ideas for action.
