Annual fundraiser for Golden State Bonsai Garden, a hidden Oakland gem on the shores of Lake Merritt.Bonsai is the ancient Japanese art of growing gracefully sculpted trees in small containers.

Sat. Feb 27: Bonsai auction at the nearby Lakeside Garden Center. Doors open at noon, auction begins at 1pm.

Sun Feb 28: Bonsai vendors and artists will be selling materials and tools. Bonsai demonstrations, garden cafe. Many bonsai artists and enthusiasts from around the state will be on hand to show their work and discuss the art and technique of bonsai. Connect with bonsai enthusiasts and clubs from across California.
