Join BAWT staff, volunteers and youth workers and learn how they get at-risk youth into the wilderness at this month's Discovery Session. They'll share their experiences and answer questions, conduct a tour of their impressive gear library and let you know how you can help grow the BAWT community. 

Discovery Sessions are held the 3rd Wednesday each month.

BAWT exists to support agencies in the Bay Area that lead youth wilderness trips. They provide youth agency staff with wilderness leadership training, outdoor equipment and more, so they and the youth they serve can explore the power and beauty of California's wilderness. 

They believe that once urban youth are exposed to wilderness, they have a broadened sense of themselves, each other, and the world around them. Their hope is that other organizations will take this vision to the rest of the country and the larger world.
