The next DIA meeting will focus on public art in the Dimond District. This will be an opportunity to discuss a vision for Public Art in the District and to initiate a Public Art plan for the Dimond area. The Fruitvale Alive Streetscape renovation breaksground in March, giving the district a new canvas to show the uniquecharacter and talents of the neighborhood. This will be aninformational meeting with the expectation of forming a committee oflocal artists and area residents that will work to develop a long-term vision for public art,identify prospective installation sites, and make recommendations for thedisbursement of funds.

Area artists, interested residents and merchants are all welcome to be
a part of the process. Please pass on to those whom would like to be
active in the process and come to the meeting Wednesday for additional

listserve when available.
Circus Bella will begin the meeting, introducing their 2010 program.
Circus Bella is an open air, one-ring circus featuring
contemporary,high-level acts set to an original score performed by live
musicians.David Hunt and Abigail Munn created Circus Bella in the
spring of 2008to respond to a common dream for accessible and high
quality circus inthe San Francisco Bay Area. Together, with band
director / composer,Rob Reich, they assembled themselves into an
ensemble company of 9performing artists and a quartet of musicians. The
momentum continues as Circus Bella plans for its2010 season with more
dates on its Circus in the Parks tour, including the Dimond Park
