Chief Batts invites the community to a presentation and discussion of his new Strategic Plan Framework. This is one of four such meetings in March. At them, community members will have the opportunity to provide feedback on the strategic framework, which presents a new mission, vision and strategic goals for the Oakland Police Department and the Oakland community. The strategic plan will be completed over the next several months, using the input and feedback provided by the community. Information on the priorities and expectations of the community regarding police services will be discussed. Making Oakland one of the safest large cities in California is one of the goals of the strategic plan framework.
