"Vacuuming the Tub:" A Photographic Tribute to International Women's Month by Laura Sutta

This exhibition celebrates women from all over the world in honor of International Women's Month. Sutta's work features "Women at Prayer" ( Jewish, Christian, Muslim, Tibetan Buddhist and Sikh) at sacred sites around the world.

Laura Sutta is an award-winning photographer who specializes in Lake Merritt as well as The Faces of Prayer (international sacred sites, ritual objects, and prayer). The Alameda County Art Commission acquired six of her largest photographs in 2008 as part of the Alameda County Art Collection, and they are currently displayed in county buildings. Bay Area residents have likely seen some of Sutta's work at various galleries and public buildings, as well as in shops and publications.
