Dan Weber continues his examination of the sacred in art with his new installation, “Votives”, in which he imagines thickets of hanging, delicate flower shaped petals constructed of maple veneers, acrylic paint and beads.
The cascading strings of “votives” are meant to encourage contemplation and induce a sense of calm and peace.
Mr. Weber’s show opens Friday, February 15 and continues through March 30, 2013. A reception for the artist will be held Saturday, March 2, from 3 to 5 pm.
Gallery hours are: Fridays ad Saturdays, 1 to 6 pm, First Friday, March1, 5 to 9 pm and Fourth Thursdays, February 28 and March 28, 6 to 8 pm.
