What does POC mean?

Fresh! White used the initialism POC in a post in the Queer Safe Space thread. A cursory search found a bunch of sites that use it, but only as an initialism. Also, I am kinda tired right now, so I am not on top of my search-fu.
Would someone be kind to this lazy person and fill me in on the words it stands for? ^_^

Annnd I asked the larger web and got back "people of color". So, hopefully this will show up in the search engines when folks search for POC. ^_^
