Oakland Entertainment Commission in the Works

There have been rumblings of an Oakland Entertainment Commission that would function similarly to it's San Francisco counterpart by creating an advisory board for sports, arts and music events, facilitating discussiions between the city and local promoters and venues and helping to bring large scale events to the city.  Is this something Oakland needs, what would be it's main priorities and who would you nominate?

Who would you nominate is a great question. I'd like to see a group of people who are action-oriented and community-focused from around the city, as well as a couple of the bigger promoters and larger arts organization. So, who could be considered for positions on an entertainment council in your view?
