Plans for a new BART Airport Conductor have been drawing a lot of criticism lately. Is the system an efficient addition to Oakland's transportation system or a waste of money? Why and what are the alternatives?

Well, Looks like the verdict is in...There is an election going on in Oakland between Carole Ward Allen, who is for the Airport Connection, and Robert Raburn who is against the Connection. The arguments for the connection is that it will produce jobs(for the time it is being built), convenient and safe. The arguments against are: It cost to much to build, it will only serve a certain segment of society at the cost of the ticket. BART trains are filthy and don't operate regularly. Why spend money on something, where a Rapid Buss lane at a cheaper cost will suffice. I'm for Robert Raburn. He gets it!
