East Oakland residents were disrupted at lunch time Thursday when a collision between two vehicles resulted in a white truck hanging from telephone guide wires and a stop sign. 

At noon, a vehicle moving east on 14th Avenue toward East 20th street collided with a green four-door car and was catapulted to the the north side of the intersection.

The criminal trial of former Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) officer Johannes Mehserle will begin about a week earlier than originally scheduled.  Judge Robert Perry moved the date to June 1 at a third preliminary hearing in downtown Los Angeles this afternoon, March 26, 2010.  Both the district att
