Where did the new parklet go?

After a fun celebration of the new parklet created by Actual Cafe staff and lots of volunteers, the whole parklet was hauled away and is now missing in action.

According to Sal and the team at Actual Cafe, it seems that "the parklet was moved between 5:40 and 6 p.m. last night (May 18), on a white Subaru wagon, license plate 4UEG667."

"We have surveillance footage of the car and two individuals (one man, one woman), but can't see them actually loading the parklet," Sal added. "But one of our neighbors saw and wrote down their plate number."

Actual Cafe has started a Facebook page asking for help to get the missing parklet back and asking for help with the OPD, which seems to be following standard procedure (submit theft via the website) - even for a missing parklet.

So what's next? Will hue, cry and crowd-sourcing the parklet-nappers get this cute little corner back? OL hopes so - good luck, folks!

Turns out the parkelet was packed up on the side of the cafe when it was napped.
