It will be part of the 9am - 12pm Creek-to-Bay Workday at the Creek Park. The mural depicting the flora, fauna, and history of the park, is located in the cul-de-sac at Brookdale/Courtland. In addition, other descriptive pieces of art will be placed in the pergola at the park entrance.
The artwork was done by paid Interns from Fremont High and Brookdale Rec Center as well as volunteers, young and old, who have worked under the leadership of Kristi Holohan of Ace Arts throughout the summer months.
The mural is one step in the effort to make the park a safe, interesting, and attractive destination for neighborhood residents.
